If anything on the website is difficult to use, contact Dekela and tell us the page, device and assistance you need.
Our approach
We aim to follow recognised accessibility good practice and work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This statement describes the current redesign; it does not claim that every page or linked third-party service has completed formal conformance testing.
Accessibility features in this redesign
- Semantic page landmarks, headings and labelled navigation.
- A skip link for keyboard users.
- Visible keyboard focus and keyboard-operable links, buttons and FAQ disclosures.
- Responsive layouts designed to reflow across desktop, tablet and mobile screens.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Support for reduced-motion preferences and browser text resizing.
- Colour choices designed with readable contrast in mind.
Known limitations
Appointment booking is provided through Google Calendar. Dekela does not control every aspect of that third-party interface, although the native website enquiry form remains available as an alternative.
The onboarding checklist is available as an accessible web page and can be printed or saved as a PDF. Contact us if you need any resource in a different format.
Feedback and alternative formats
If you experience an accessibility problem, need another format or cannot complete an action, email hey@dekela.com, call 01824 544 568 regionally, or call 0330 043 3983 UK-wide. Please identify the page or resource and the support you need.
We will consider the request and aim to provide a practical response as soon as reasonably possible.
Testing and review
Accessibility will be reviewed as pages, forms, analytics and third-party integrations are added. Testing should combine automated tools with manual keyboard, zoom, reflow and assistive-technology checks because automated testing alone cannot identify every barrier.
